dc.description A research on the contribution of PSI organization projects funded by USAID on socio-economic development was done at Dar es Salaam region. The problem investigated included the contribution of PSI organization projects funded by USAID on socio-economic development in Dar es Salaam region. The general objective was to assess the impact of projects funded by USAID on economic development in Dar es Salaam region. Specifically the study was intended to identify existing and their location of PSI projects funded by USAID, to determine the projects provided to the region and their distribution over the last three years and the implications of PSI projects funded by USAID Research design used was case study design, Respondents 120 participated. Both primary and secondary data collection methods were used and instruments used to collect data those data are the use of interviews, well structured and pre-tested questionnaires. Data analysis procedure involved was Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel computer programmers in order to get frequencies and percentages whereby Qualitative and Quantitative data were gathered. Findings indicated that PSI has made a number of achievements in HIV/AIDS preventions, Family Planning, Malaria, Reproductive and Child Health. In HIV/AIDS data show that women are more affected than men at 7.7%. So I would like to recommend that the implementation of PSI project can highly been achieved if we involve those whom we serve in the community by simply making them openly to identify their potential needs and discover the effects of the products used. Socialeconomic development comes through true people’s involvement in projects. The researcher really hope that output from this study shall be of practical use to PSI
