dc.description Employee training is as very critical factor on the performance of commercial banks or in any other financial institution. This research study therefore focused on the influence of employee training on the performance of the commercial banks in Tanzania, National Bank of Commerce in particular. Where the objectives for the study is to find out the role of employee training on the performance of commercial banks in Tanzania focusing specifically on effects of training on employees performance and related foctors, effects of training on performance of National Bank of Commerce and discovering employees perceptions on training provided by NBC. The study targeted key informants like employees who have operations of the banks. This study used questionnaires and interview as the primary source of data. The research designed to be descriptive survey to establish the relationship between variables especially the relationship between the development and the average level of employee training on the organization performance, also carried out in Dar es Salaam with the population not more than 60 people. Finding of the study revealed that a very high level of loyalty to bank, and which is good for the bank. The longer an employee remains in the employment of the bank, the more likely is it that most customers will be used to such a person and may find it easy to divulge their service wishes or expectations from the bank. Such bits of information may be very useful for restructuring the service delivery strategies of the bank. The accumulated experience of such a loyal staff could also influence an increase in the deposits of the bank as well as reduce loan repayment default. Both of these can positively contribute to an increase in the profitability of the bank
