dc.description The study to assess the Entrepreneurship Challenges Facing Young Graduates was conducted in Dar es Salaam city. Five Universities in Dar es Salaam were taken as a case study. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the attitudes and perception of University Graduates in response to Entrepreneurship; identify key constrains and motivation facing Graduates in becoming entrepreneurs; find out key roles of University education in delivery of entrepreneurship skills to Graduates and to examine how key stakeholders support entrepreneurship development in Tanzania. A sample of 85 University Students who are in their final year of study was taken for the study using purposive and simple random sampling. In the process of answering the basic questions, a questionnaire that include demographic profiles, characteristics of young graduates, factors that affect the performance of young entrepreneurs in Tanzania and supports graduates acquire from government and other stakeholders was designed in a closed ended. Interviews were held with micro finances officials, educators and also Focus Group Discussion comprise students used to collect primary data. The study also collected secondary data through review of various documents. After the data has been collected, it was analyzed using simple statistical techniques (tables and percentages). The finding from the study indicates that entrepreneurship education have significant effect on young graduates entrepreneurship success. The study also found that family background has influence on youth graduates` Enterpreurship potential. It is therefore concluded that both family background and university education has direct influence on youth graduates` Enterpreurship performance. Based on major findings the study recommends introduction of entrepreneurship education from primary schools up to university level to create more youth entrepreneurs which in turn will decrease number of youth unemployment in Tanzania.
