Interpersonal relationship was a major concern to many patients most of whom were poor. The recommendations of this study are: The Muhimbili National hospital should ensure that health providers are compassionate and respect to patients, this can be achieved by integrating customer care on job training. Efforts should be put on supportive supervision to health care given to patient at least on monthly basis. The government should provide all necessary equipment, drugs and qualified staff who are able to provide specialized eye services at all levels in hospitals; these could reduce the number of patients attending the Muhimbili National hospital.
