On is" July, 2005, the High Court sitting at Mwanza upheld the
conviction entered by the District Court of Mwanza against the appellant
for Armed Robbery, contrary to sections 285 and 286 of the Penal Code.
Regarding the sentence imposed of thirty (30) years imprisonment and
twelve (12) strokes of the cane, the same was upheld as well. Apparently,
three other persons charged with him were acquitted. |
