Hamisi Mohamed(App) Vs Republic(Res)The appellant, Hamisi Mohamed seeks to challenge a conviction for attempted armed robbery contrary to Section 287 B of the Penal Code, Cap 16 R.E. 2002 as amended and a sentence of twenty (20) years imprisonment. He was convicted of armed robbery by the Arusha District Court contrary so Section 287 A of the Penal code and was sentenced to thirty years imprisonment. He unsuccessfully appealed to the High Court (Sambo, J). However, he was found guilty of a lesser offence of attempted armed robbery by the High Court.
