CHRISTIAN ORGENES NKYA (App) Vs THE REPUBLIC(Res)The District Court of Moshi (Mwaiseje, RM.) convicted the appellant of rape contrary to sections 130 and 131 of the Penal Code, as amended, and sentenced him to a term of imprisonment for thirty years. He was also ordered to pay a sum of shs. 200,000/= as compensation to the victim of the alleged rape. Aggrieved, the appellant preferred an appeal to the High Court of Tanzania at Moshi.
