HAMISI SAlOl BUTWE(App) Vs THE REPUBLIC(Res)Before the District Court of Mtwara at Mtwara, the appellant HAMIS SAID @ BUTWE was charged with the offence of unnatural offence contrary to section 154(1) of the Penal Code (Cap. 16 - R.E. 2002) as amended by the Sexual Offences (Special Provisions) Act No.4 of 1998. He was convicted and sentenced to the mandatory 30 years imprisonment with four strokes of the cane.
