dc.description This study assessed the implementation process of result oriented performance management system. The study was conducted at Tanzania Parliament. A sample of 100 respondents was used in this study. Purposive sampling was applied in selecting of the departments and simple random sampling in selection of respondents from each department. Data were collected using questionnaire, interview and documentary review. Statistical packages for social sciences were employed in data analysis. The Statistical Package For Social Science were used for data analysis whereby the results from the questionnaire were coded and fed in SPSS to get the frequencies and percentages. The findings from the field were presented by using the figures and frequency table.The findings revealed that the organization had good performance managementsystem however the system did not favour the entire workers since despite the success there were some challenges on the current system. The findings showed that there are good communication between leaders and workers, there is provision of learning opportunities, the worker are motivated to work more, but also there are some awards and steps provided to both good performers and bad performers respectively.It was concluded that result oriented performance management system is one of the solutions to motivating a workforce. From the focus group there is sufficient factual evidence to support the conclusion that the proposed performance management system would yield the desired results.
