The sample size constituted of 50 respondents who were 10 children and 40 adults. Another specific objective was to determine financial sources used for financing quality health services in Mwananyamala hospital and to propose corrective measures that should be taken by the Government to improve revenue collection at Mwananyamala Hospital. From the research the following were the findings. The finding showed that there are some services which are being financed by cost sharing namely registration and consultation, specialized clinics, laboratory services, inpatient admissions, radiology, physiotherapy, theatre services and drugs and medicines. This finding was able to answer the research question “What services are being financed by cost sharing at Mwananyamala hospital? ”.Nevertheless the findings revealed that there are sources of funds which are used to finance quality health services like Government Block Grand for Personal Emoluments and Other Charges, Basket fund, Council’s own source and cost sharing system itself, It is with no doubt that this finding answered the research question, “What are the sources of finance that should be used in financing quality health services?” Moreover cost sharing system is being implemented at Mwananyama hospital at medium rate because of lack of education, transparency and monitoring of the funds which are some of the factors which need to be improve inorder for the cost sharing system to be effective, hence the research question “What measures should the government take to improve revenue collection at Mwananyamala hospital? was also answered.
