The current economic situation makes it particularly important that private sector projects exploiting Information and Communications Technology (ICT) achieve successful outcomes. In judging whether the private procuring projects will be a success or failure, procurement neither starts nor ends with the procurement plan. Procurement Plan it is the foundation on which successful projects are built.
The overall objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness implementation of procurement plan in private sector in achieving simplified procurement processes and procedures, a case of MIC Tanzania Limited (TIGO) specifically to recognize involvement in preparation and implementation of procurement plan, accurate and availability of procedures and processes regarding procurement plan, the effectiveness of procurement plan as well as contribution of procurement plan to simplified procurement processes at MIC Tanzania Limited (TIGO).
The researcher reviewed some literature relevant in order to equip himself with the necessary theoretical background to the topic. In order to collect data, both primary and secondary data, he used questionnaires observation, interviews and documentary review. About 35 respondents respond to the research questionnaires. The study revealed there are some strategic challenges on achieving simplified procurement processes when executing and performing other procurement activities.
As results from this study, it was identified that, in order to ensure simplified procurement processes and procedures in private entities, private procuring entities should endure high and effective performance and implementation of procurement plan. This study identifies that there is a relationship between procurement plan implementation and simplified procurement processes and procedures and overall performance of the organization.
