dc.description The general objective of this study was assessing the factors affecting the export volume in Tanzania. The study examined the contributions of insurance and financial services on export volume in Tanzania, contributions of official exchange rate on export volume in Tanzania and contributions of logistic performance index on export volume in Tanzania. The study adopted descriptive cross sectional design and targeted population was 195 countries in the world. Tanzania was selected as a sample of analysing the study problem. The primary data and secondary data were collected and analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The study found that the positive significant contribution of insurance and financial services on volume of exports of goods and services. The study revealed that there is positive significant contribution of official exchange rate on volume of exports of goods and services. The study observed that the positive significant contribution of logistic performance index on volume of exports of goods and services. The study concluded that efforts to promote access to insurance and financial services for exporters in Tanzania has to be highly motivated in order to promote more exports of goods and services. The study recommends that since logistic performance index, official exchange rate and insurance and financial services are significant predictors of volume of exports of goods and services in Tanzania, it is important for stakeholders on international trade find a better way to improve logistic performance index, official exchange rate and insurance and financial services in order to promote more exports of goods and services.
