The study was conducted at BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited Country office in Dar es Salaam with the aim of assess the contribution “of employee’s involvement in decision making to the organizational” survival in Tanzania. In particular, the study addressed the following specific objectives: To determine decision made by top management that have implication on employee ownership, factors facilitating or impinging employee involvement in making decision and, to examine the relationship between” employees’ involvement “making decisions and organization performance.”
The study used case study design where by a sample size of 60 respondents was included. However, the study employed stratified sampling technique, a non-probability sampling whereby were involved. Data were collected through questionnaires and were analyzed using Microsoft excel
The findings have demonstrated that employee involvement in decision making relies on well-crafted management decisions which embrace employee involvement in the decision making specifically to BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited. Consensus agreement can be drawn from the ground that effectively employee involvement in decision making centers on the factors that may either facilitate or impinge the extent of employee’s involvement to decision making process and therefore it is important for BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited growths remain equipped with what promotes employee involvement in decision making. It was also found that, among others promotes provisions of management documents that helps employees to know where to participate fully, equally involvement of employees within the organization, readiness of top management to inculcate employee involvement, sound employee tenure in work places, effectiveness of management in nurturing employee involvement.
It is concluded that, effective employee participation in making decision relies on well-crafted management decision which embraces employee involvement in the decision making specifically to BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited It is recommended that BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited and other actors should ensure employee participation in making decision remains integral part of the organization culture as evidence from empirical studies complemented by study findings have clearly shown positive contributions employee involvement in decision making and organization performances” It is further suggested that study should be carried on the challenges emanating from organization advocating employee involvement in decision making for its performances”.
