dc.description The study focused on examining the impact of mobile banking on performance of financial performance, the case study of CRDB Bank Plc. in Tanzania . The study was carried out successfully by examining the general objective namely the impact of mobile banking on the financial performance of CRDB Bank plc by explaining relationship between the two. The study used both theoretical and empirical literature review for the aim of extracting knowledge on the related study. The study applied causal research design. The target population 200 CRDB bank branches operating in Tanzania as at December 2019 with 134 for sample size the study used secondary data for the purpose of analysis from the CRDB HQ data Centre and published financial statements where by total amounts transferred via the mobile, transaction volume and the number of mobile banking users were regressed against bank performance as measured by the NIM over past five years were collected. To determine the linear relationship between all the study variables, Regression analysis was used. Results presented in the regression model summary indicated that the R squared for the regression was 0.384. The ANOVA indicated that F value was 12.865 and was significant at 95% confidence level, this implies that mobile banking do affect Financial performance(NIM).Results showed that amount moved through mobile banking made strong unique contribution on explaining dependent variable with a Beta value 0.750.However the study found that there is a weak positive relationship between mobile banking and the financial performance of CRDB bank plc. The study also recommended to the CRDB bank to highly promote mobile banking products. The study draws further recommendations that CRDB bank need to provide as many mobile banking products as possible as well as increasing limit for the maximum amount to be transacted per day. However, the study recommends that proper caution should be taken to ensure that the services offer adequate customers’ trust, security as well as their awareness of the M-banking products.
