dc.description This paper specifically deals with the examination and analysis of the third party insurance in Tanzania. The examination is based on the provision of The Motor Vehicle Insurance Act. Furthermore, the focus has been made on the effectiveness and implementation of this law, the main purpose of having this law in reference to the third party and the exemption of the Government vehicle and any authorized persons from third party insurance and the awareness of the people on the significance of the Motor Vehicles Insurance Act. This paper has been categorized into five chapters. Chapter one contained briefly the back ground of the problem, statement of the problem, objective of study, hypotheses, significance of study, literature review, research methodology on how the data was collected and presented in this report and sample size of the research. Chapter two is about the conceptual frame work. In this chapter the different word which has been used in the research has been elaborated to show the clear meaning of the words. Those word are those used in motor vehicle insurance against the third party risk. Chapter three, in this chapter the researcher has made analysis of the law governing third party insurance, these laws are, The Insurance Act no.10/2009, The Motor Vehicle Insurance Act Cap 169 R.E 2009 and The Road Traffic Act Cap 168 R.E 2002 Chapter four it carries out the discussion on the findings of the whole research. The findings in this paper reveal the enforceability of the law governing the third party insurance and how the injured party is compensated and to what extent are they succeeding in the process of claiming their compensation and also reveal the hindrance which the claimant face when claiming their statutory right. Chapter five contains the recommendation and conclusion of the whole research, the researcher has recommended various issues to be fulfilled so as to make the Motor Vehicle Insurance Act
