dc.description The environmental air pollution it is common environmental problem which are very huge problem which take all over the world to which the human activities are the leading factor which contribute pollution of air within the environment. The industrial activities, agriculture activities and vehicle exhaust also the factors which contribute air pollution within the environment. There are varieties number of international laws which regulating environmental pollution as Tanzania is signatory and ratified those international laws also Tanzania has enacting various legislation, regulation and polices to fight against air pollution within the environment but still the problem is there in spite of existing those environmental laws. The aims of this research are to examine the effectiveness of the environmental laws in prevention and controlling air pollution within the environment in Tanzania. In Tanzania there are various number of legislation, regulations, policies and International laws which are applied to regulate environmental protection. In spite of having those environmental laws but still the problem of air pollution still growing each and every day in Tanzania. So due to that is where the research took his time to investigate the effectiveness of the environmental laws in prevention and controlling air pollution in Tanzania. The research considered both the research design and methodology. Under the research design the researcher used sample of 25 people from variously institution and the individuals from the area of the study. The research overlooks the effectiveness of the environmental laws in prevention and control air pollution within the environment in Tanzania. The research critically making analysis on the side of enforcement and implementation of environment laws in against air pollution in Tanzania. The research found to have the lack of effectiveness of environmental laws in prevention and controlling air pollution in Tanzania, the lack of public awareness, education and lack of public participation in the environmental issues. Also, the researcher found that lack of seriousness to administer the environmental cases in the court of law. Thereafter the researcher analyzes the finding then come up with the ways forward so as to have the effectiveness of the environmental laws in prevention and controlling air pollution in Tanzania. That to have a specific legislation on air pollution, rising of public awareness and Improving pollution regulations and compliance is an early and highly cost-effective approach for governments to avert even higher pollution loads in the medium term.
