dc.description This study aimed to know the factors influencing the performance of the procurement records management in LGAs, the specific objectives of this study was to examine organizational factors affecting the effectiveness of procurement records management in (LGAs), to examine personal factors affecting the effectiveness of procurement records management in LGAs, to examine technological factors affecting the effectiveness of procurement records management in LGAs, and to examine external factors affecting the effectiveness of procurement records management in LGAs. The conceptual framework proposed underlines the factors that influence the performance of procurement records management. Research decided to use four factors as a conceptual framework: Organizational factors (Policies and Processes), Personal factors (Capacity and Training), Technological factors (Computer use and, Software and Internet) and External factors (Level of Financing and User of procurement records) as the leading factors influencing procurement records performance. This study was conducted at Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) in Dar es Salaam. Researcher had insured the accurate of data that was collected for intended objectives of the study. Researcher used a case design where the data was collected from a single procuring entity at KMC. The targeted population of this study was the staffs from different department in KMC where by a researcher used 44 staff responded to the study. The data collected from the respondents through questionnaires as a main method used by researcher. Researcher used descriptive analysis where frequency table and percentage were used to interpret data collected while inferential analysis was involved correlation and multiple regression analysis were used to establish the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The findings realized that there was a significant relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. By regarding the research findings, a researcher was able to conclude that information technology had the influence on the performance of procurement records management in KMC.
