dc.description The Research report is on the assessment of the law in Tanzania mainland, to the protection of the forest in Tanzania. What prompted the researcher to study this area are the increase of the environmental problem, that is due to the forest destruction in Tanzania, especial in Dodoma Municipal Council that is now days develop after Dodoma Region to be announced to become the City Council. The research contains the background information on the topic, and the main objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of the law governing forest protection in Tanzania-mainland. The research goes further assess various fine and penalty which is imposed under the laws if is sufficient to deter people within the community from violating forest protection laws and guideline, assess if there is enough forest expert to enforcement and implementation of the law to the forest destructor in Tanzania Mainland The study is guided by four research questions, for purposes of maintaining a proper direction in gathering data in the field and subsequently the analysis and discussion. The study employed two methods of data collection, that is primary and secondary data collection. The interviews, questionnaire, and observation were used in order to supplement data gathered from the theoretical literature. The legal framework of the study, its generally shown that forest plays a greater role in everyday life and without it there is no life on the Earth; forest is also an important component for socio-economic development of human being. Since the population is growing faster also the economic activities are increasing, this therefore increase the demand of people to take measures to protect environment that make the government to enact laws governing the forest. Hence; the literature and findings in its totality suggests that people must be work together to curb this situation of forest destruction if not there comes a time that the earth will be empty. That is to say there is yet the need of Education to be provided after the legislature has dealt with enactments of laws governing forest protection also the judiciary has the duty to use the law that is applicable with accordance to the law, strict and accordingly.
