dc.description A Research Report Submitted to Mzumbe University – Mbeya Campus College in Partial Fulfillment of The Bachelor Degree of Human Resource Management (BHRM) of Mzumbe University
dc.description This study was carried out at Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) Mbeya region from November 2019 to February 2020 as the major objective of the study was to assess the ways of improving workers satisfaction of employment in public sector organizations. For the organization to maintain higher level of employees’ satisfaction there should be an assessment of individual person to determine the need for satisfaction. This should be conducted through researches and surveys, and secret suggestion boxes. For the purpose of this study the researcher used descriptive research design. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the respondent for the study and twenty eight (28) samples were selected and structured questionnaires were distributed to the respondents. The study shown that within the organization there is a lot of dissatisfied employees who does not give out their grievances this is because some of employees fear to lose the relationship with their bosses and some fear that if they speak out, they will be in the danger of losing the job. Therefore, the organization relies on the dimensions that employees’ satisfaction is due to high payments, promotion, training and rewards. This might be somehow true but not exactly because satisfaction of employees does not depend only on the dimensions above but it is widely and it also bases on internal feelings of a person such as the feeling to be loved by others, to be cared, the views to be listened they also work as factors that highly motivates the employees to meet their satisfaction in the course of providing good and quality service to their clients. The study has come up with the following recommendation that for an efficient measure of employees’ satisfaction there shall be security of employees in giving opinion hence the management must ensure that there is suggestion boxes, opinion surveys, exit interviews also maintenance of good relationship between the top management and subordinates. Hence if these suggestions will be considered by the Organization most of the employees within the organization will be satisfied to perform their works effectively to meet the organization requirements.
