dc.description This study aimed on the assessment of the effectiveness of the law and policy relating to the protection of the right to equality at work place for persons with disabilities and to establish whether the employment system comply with the law and create opportunities for employing persons with disabilities. Before reaching to the practical findings, this study was guided by two hypnoses which enabled the researcher to assess whether the law and policy governing the right to equality at work place for persons with disabilities are effectively implemented in practice and whether employers are aware of the law governing the right to equality at work place for persons with disabilities. This study deployed two methods in data collection namely, primary data collection method which included interviews and questionnaire and secondary data collection which included documentary review but also in this study the researcher selected Morogoro region as a case study and 28 respondents and five organizations were involved in this study. The major findings of this study revealed that the progressive provisions of the law and policy governing the right to equality and non-discrimination at work place are not adequately put into practice. Five organizations visited by the researcher, the comparison data of total employees employed in the in the respective respondents does not comply with the requirement under section 31 of the persons with disabilities Act, 2010. The findings of this study enabled the researcher offer several recommendations. Some of the major recommendations offered were; Firstly, the Government through the Ministry of Labour and Employment should make efforts to ensures that the law and policy on the right to equality at work place for persons with disabilities are effectively implemented in practice, and Secondly the government should make sure that physical facilities in different organization are friendly for employment of persons with disabilities before they start operating so as to comply with Constitutional principles of the Right to Work provided under Article 12 of the Constitution of the united Republic of Tanzania of 1977.
