dc.description Employees‟ motivation and satisfaction depends upon many factors including job enlargement. It is found that job enlargement is one of the motivating factors towards employee’s job satisfaction and performance. This study aimed at evaluating the impact of job enlargement on employee’s motivation and satisfaction at Universal Communication Service Access Fund-Headquarter Dodoma. The study employed a case study design. Data collection methods were interviews which were conducted to the Managers/Heads of Departments and Questioners which was used to collect data from both subordinates and Managers/Heads of departments. The sample of 52 respondents was selected for the study using purposive and simple random sampling. The data collected was analysed with the help of SPSS version 20 and Microsoft excel to analyse demographic data, descriptive data, charts as well as graphs. The qualitative data from interviews were also analysed using personal judgment technique. Findings from the field showed that, Job enlargement at Universal Communication Service Access Fund-Headquarters. Dodoma is practiced with positive impacts on employees’ motivation mainly due to presence of good working environment that supports them to perform additional tasks effectively. Moreover, job enlargement improves employees job satisfaction because there has been an increase of different skills among the employees and hence tasks are being performed effectively and efficiently. While Majority of employees have positive outlook about job enlargement, the study found out that some few employees have negative feeling about job enlargement practices in their organization. Therefore, the study recommends that Leaders in public and private organizations should implement training and development programs, to enhance skills of those which jobs are enlarged. Additionally, the organizations should think through implementing a flexible structure that accommodates environmental changes and as such employees can identify tasks more efficiently and achieve their set targets. Lastly, leaders who are concerned with this issue should ensure that all problems/challenges associated with job enlargement are well dealt with and on time, this is because delaying them discourages employees in their daily work performance.
