This study was conducted to examine the impact of Google search engine in the provision oflibrary services was at St. John‟sUniversity of Tanzania Library, The study was guided with four (4) specific objectives.The study employed a case study design, with mixed approach research. Non-probability employed Purposiveand convenient samplingand probabilityemployed stratified. Stratified and convenient sampling was used to obtain 81 students and Purposive was used to obtain 5 library staff. Data was collected using a questionnaire and interview guide. Quantitative data were analyzed by using SPSS Version 22and Microsoft Excel and result presented by using tables andfigures. Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis procedure.The finding revealed thatmajority ofstudents they using every time Google search engine on preparing various academic work, also it was noted that majority of students orrespondents they prefer to Google resources because is excellent and good for use in academics works, the findings revealed that respondents were benefited by the Google search engine when they using e-resourcesfor doing a various assignment. Finally,the respondents were discouraged byusing print resources in the library with some factors such as outdated materials, unfriendly library staff, few resources, poor conditions,and segregation of materials.Based on the results the study recommendedUniversity library should make sure theyformulating a good policy that supporting the issues of weeding and buying updated books for students to get current materials.It concludes thatthe director of the library should realize that the competitive environment that the library operates today provides opportunities for them to be creative and be innovative in the provision of services to find ways of encouraging the students to use the library by ensuringstudents are well encouraged inusethe library
