dc.description This study titled “Effectiveness of the law in Combating Human Trafficking in Person for Sexual Exploitation in Tanzania” it intend to show at what extent the laws ensured combating of Trafficking in Persons for sexual exploitation in Tanzania. However, there are legislations prohibiting the offence but the problem is still increasing day after day. In addition, the report aims at showing the response of the Tanzania government on the growth of Trafficking in Persons, which disrespects human dignity that is against the constitution. The study employed different methods of data collection namely, unstructured interview in order to get the first hand information, and accuracy of data, another method was documentary review for purpose of reviewing that what others written on the subject matter and what are their gaps. The study revealed that there is weakness of the law and enforcement machinery for combating human trafficking in person for sexual exploitation in Tanzania. Moreover, it discovered community is not given a chance to fight against trafficking in person for sexual exploitation. Since the law provide a chance only for a victim to report the offence, lack awareness in community concerning of the offence of trafficking in persons. In addition, identification of the victims and the offenders by the authorized officer is still a problem. For purpose of solving this problem the study comes up with the different recommendations for instance, it recommend that in order to combating the human trafficking for sexual exploitation in Tanzania the Government should amend the law so as to give chance to the community to fight the offence since its matter of public interest also training of law enforcers and raising awareness, the government is recommended to take the offence in first priority criminal offence in investigation and prosecution against traffickers and protection of the victims.
