dc.description Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been exercised in most organizations across the globe whereby, the organizations use it as a strategic measuring tool to indirectly gain customers loyalty, organization performance and also for humanitarian reasons. These organizations do that to protect the company and to develop the society on various sectors such as education, sanitation, infrastructure, healthcare and also during natural calamities and disaster such as earthquakes, tsunamis and related tragedies. This study however, focused on the role of CSR in promoting employee performance, whereby, the selected case study was at Tigo Tanzania Ltd (TTL). TTL is among the leading and long serving communication companies in the country for about 20 years private corporation. It has in most cases been involved in the corporate social responsibilities on various junctures and the information acquired from this case study was effective for this study. The general objective of the study was assessing the relationship between CSR and employee performance of TTL The study had different findings such as improving work life balance, equality and working morale for the employees through providing the necessary working incentives and by improving the community of these employees makes them feel good working for TTL. All these finding altogether dependent in a circular form makes it easier for it to be regularly practiced. The methodology used involved a cross-sectional enlightening system to collect information from a scope of respondents on what they make of the CSR concept in relation to employees performance. The information was mostly collected through structured questionnaires. The recommendations of the study focused towards promoting organization to regularly practice CSR in the organizations which in return will create a foundation for the employees to be able to practice the same outside their working environment..
