Examination of the Legal Frame Work for Protection of Children Against Child Labour.
This study examines children protection and care that has been given less attention for many years, particularly at national and international: Hence many children faced several violence and abuses including subjection to labour in hazardous places, thus affecting their educational rights.
The researcher utilized both secondary and primary data collected. Secondary data involved analysis of the problem through textbooks, journals, articles, reports, statutes and other relevant materials. The researcher further profited from primary data collected through conducting a field research, where Bariadi District in Simiyu region was picked as area of the study.
The researcher therefore concludes that, the legal framework on the protection of children against child labour does not adequately protect children against child labour. The institutions established under the Act are weak in guaranteeing comprehensive children protection against child labour. These instruments need to be amended to improve children protection in Tanzania.
