dc.description Research is always exciting and challenging to any aspiring graduate. In that view this research is carried on as a partial fulfillment requirement for the award of Masters of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM). This research focuses on investigating CSR as a factor for modern business growth, and how they apply to Business Sustainability, a case study of Serengeti Breweries Limited. The main objective of this study is to investigate and unveil how Corporate Social responsibility activities have contributed to the growth of Serengeti Breweries Ltd in the past 10 years. The Researcher used case study research design where questionnaires and interview were the main instruments backed by a bit of observation. The population of the study was fifty (50) employees from different departments and thirty (30) people from the external stakeholders. The research data were collected through the instrument of Questionnaire, Interviews and Documentation. The secondary data were collected from SBL archive and literature consultation. The findings revealed that social responsibility activities bring about perception change of the community towards any business and create a positive image and thus enhanced reputation and market share. The researcher recommends that companies should make Social Responsibility activities part of its strategies. The researcher concluded that Corporate Social Responsibility is therefore a very key factor in ensuring business growth and prosperity as it incorporates and share with the community the business profits. The cost of ignoring social responsibility has far reaching consequences than expected cost of its investment.
