dc.description This study was conducted at Tigo Tanzania head offices located in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. The main objective of the study is toexamine the measurements and evaluation system for supplier performance and integration: The case of Tigo Tanzania. The specific objectives of the study were to assess existing suppliers’ performance measurements and evaluation methods used by Tigo Tanzania, examine the effectiveness of Tigo Tanzania suppliers’ performance measurements and evaluation methods, determine methods that will foster communication and integration with suppliers at Tigo Tanzania and suggesting the best suppliers’ performance measurement and evaluation method for rating Tigo Tanzania suppliers’ performance. The study used both qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Data collection methods used was observation and observation, interview, documentary review and documentary analysis together with data collection instruments. Data analysis presentation and dissertation is based on the research objectives. This study revealed that currently Tigo Tanzania does not have Supplier Performance Measurement and Evaluation System rather there is a tool which is used to assess supplier suitability during supplier selection stage. Suppliers’ measurement methods used by Tigo are not very effective since they are not linked to corporate strategy. Furthermore, important elements such as supplier development as well as recognition and rewards are not incorporated. The existing communication system between Tigo Tanzania and its stakeholders is effective enough to ensure continuous flow of information. But there is still room for further improvement if Tigo Tanzania deploys other communication methods such as video conferencing and online vendor management system, which will increase accuracy and time saving.Furthermore thenew Supplier Performance Measurement and Evaluation System design requires six functional requirements asMaterial Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Quality Management and Business Warehouse
