Specifically this study was aimed at assessing the role of Mufindi Community Bank, evaluating the performance of Mufindi Community Bank on service provision and determining factors causing poor performance to the Bank. This study adopted a case study whereby Mufindi Community Bank was taken as a case study involving 80 respondents. The researcher will use a purposive sampling whereby both primary and secondary data were involved in the study. Data were collected using questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed descriptively using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The analyzed data were presented using tables, percentages, histograms and pie charts. From the study findings it was noted that the bank had a number of roles to perform which included among others financial transactions. The bank had indicators to monitor its performances and that it was performing within the required standard. The conclusion made was that the bank had many roles to ensure the customers are satisfied with the service provided. Generally, all roles aimed at improving community bank performances, like effecting loans and making financial transactions which are the major requirements from the customers. Community banks play an important role in the financial system of the country economy. It was recommended that, payment transactions should be improved through employing more qualified personnel. To ensure bank performance, the bank management team should work collaboratively with other stakeholders to ensure constructive ideas are mainstreamed in bank operation systems for the betterment of the bank and customers respectively.
