Introduction The ultimate goal in trauma resuscitation is to identify and manage all injuries in a timely manner. Despite technological and clinical advances in management of trauma patients, missed injuries still occur and pose a threat to the current trauma care. Delayed diagnosis and missed injuries can significantly add to the morbidity of the initial insult, and may result in permanent disability or even mortality. Missed diagnosis including trauma may also lead to malpractice legal challenges to the physician and the hospital. Aim This study will add knowledge about the rate of missed injuries and their contributing factors, hence address them timely and accordingly to prevent their occurrence and eventual significant disabilities in the patients. Methodology Study will be done at KCMC hospital where by all patient with trauma will be reevaluated from head to toe and the investigation results will also be reinterpreted by Residents/Specialists or Consultants in the respective wards. Appropriate investigations will be requested for suspected overlooked injuries and those which will be detected will be managed and documented in the questionnaire.Those patients who will need surgicalintervention will be operated and intraoperative findings will be followed up to identify injuries which couldn’t be picked at EMD during the initial phase of resuscitation and stabilization. These injuries will also be documented in the case notes and then dully filled in the designed questionnaire. Postmortem will be advised for Patients that will die within 24 hours of admission and missed injuries detected will also be documented in the questionnaire.
