dc.description Background: Neonatal dermatoses define skin disorders that occur in the first four weeks of life. They can be transient, congenital, acquired, or iatrogenic. They vary greatly between places and ethnicity. They are a great source of anxiety to parents and treating Doctors despite the fact that most of them are transient. Objective: To determine the prevalence, clinical spectrum and factors associated with Neonatal Dermatoses at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre Hospital, Northern Tanzania. Methodology: This cross sectional study will be conducted at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre Hospital, Northern Tanzania among neonates in the labour ward, neonatal ward and neonatal clinic from October 2016 to April 2017. Data will be collected using a structured questionnaire and analysed using Statistical Package for Social Science version 22.
