dc.description |
The purposes of this study were to analyse the security concerns as one of the main hindrances to implementation of E-Government in Tanzania and to discuss the strategies for observance of the privacy and security of the data during the implementation of E-Government. The approach used was mainly through direct interview and questionnaire method. In addition, direct observation and archival records data collection methods were also deployed to get more precise data from the targeted Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). The findings of the study show that the government has started to introduce E-government in some of the MDAs; however, the data security program was not incorporated during the implementation of the installed applications. The author puts forth some of the important guidelines for mitigation of data security risks and improvement of data security and privacy of government data |
