dc.description The study aimed to examine the relevance of employee training and its impact on the organizational performance, a case of National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Mwanza City. Specifically the study aimed, to establish the employees training methods used in National Social Security Fund (NSSF), to examine the importance of training programs to employees, and to find out the contribution of employee training programs to the organization performance. The study was guided by Social learning theory developed by Albert Bandura 1960s. The research sturdy adopted descriptive research design, utilizing a mixed methods approach qualitative and quantitative methods of research. The study consisted of a total sample of 41 employees and managers from NSSF Mwanza city. Data were collected through survey using questionnaires as a tool, and were analyzed using SPSS. The study finding revealed that both on job and off-job through various methods of training at NSSF. Also the study indicated that training importance to employees’ in terms of job satisfaction, improved employee job commitment, stuff acquire technical skills, ability and capacity that improve service quality, sharing and management of knowledge, also training make employee feel more engaged. And lastly the study findings revealed the significance contribution of employees training organization performance. The study concluded that employees’ performance is the result of good and regular trainings. The increased and improved employees’ performance influence the improvement of service quality and productivity which result to improved organization performance and efficiency. And lastly the study recommended action to be taken on off-the-job training, training need assessment, prepare mentors and supervisors, job rotation and evaluation of training program. Also recommendations for further studies were given.
