ABSTRACT
This dissertation is making an assessment on the Knowledge and Attitude regarding Business
Formalization among micro entrepreneurs’ in Dodoma Municipal. The researcher has
interviewed a total number of 80 of micro entrepreneurs from Dodoma municipal and the
Municipal Trade Officer of Dodoma Municipal.
The research conducted for this dissertation was both qualitative and quantities research and
the data collection methods involved were both primary and secondary data collection
methods. For primary data in depth interview technique was employed and for secondary
data internet materials were consulted in a narrative way. The findings revealed that the
micro entrepreneurs have the knowledge on the registration and licensing of their business
but they tend to neglect, however few of them did not possess the knowledge on the
registration and licensing of their business. For that matter the researcher has proposed to the
government that there is a need of the government to make follow up in order to identify
those who infringe the laws that govern business activities in the study area.
Apart from that, the observations have revealed that, many of the micro entrepreneurs have
registered their business, but few of them have not registered their business. From the
findings it shows that many of the micro entrepreneurs in the study area have registered their
business although few of the micro entrepreneurs appear to infringe the laws that govern the
business activities in the study area. Therefore the government have to make follow up to see
those who violate the laws that conduct business activities |
