The study focused on invesitigation on the awereness of digital library among college students. The study was carried at the Mwalimu Nyerere memorial academy Library. The study covered 40 respondents where by 30 were library users, 8 were librarians and 2 were ICT officers. In order to collect data, the researcher used interview, and questionnaire as the instrument of data collection. In order to ensure its validity, tabulation, classification and coding was done. The researcher used computer programs like Microsoft excel and Microsoft word programs to analyze data and the results were presented in form of tables, histograms and pictures.Result from the study revealed that the awareness and uses of digital information in library among college students is very low. The major reasons of low awareness and uses of digital information were low level of education in computer application, poor promotion of electronic information, poor internet connection, and shortage of power, lack of skilled personnel (ICT) professionals in establishing and controlling the system and lack of fund.The study recommends that, good and strong library policies in the promotion and marketing of digital information must be established in library so as to create enough awareness and much effective uses of electronic information and also ICT infrastructures like stable internet connection, stable and enough electricity and modern computer systems and skilled personnel must be improved for further development on information searching and retrieval for academic success.
