This study endeavored to examine the influence of District School quality assurance practices on curriculum implementation in Public Primary Schools at Tarime Town Council in Mara Regional, Tanzania. It was guided by four objectives, that is, to find out the current supervisory practices used by the DSQA in supervision of Public Primary Schools, to find out the perceptions of headteachers and teachers on DSQAO‟s supervision in public primary schools, to identify the challenges facing DSQA in the supervision of public primary schools and to find out the intervention measures to be put in place to improve the work performance of DSQA. The study used mixed research approach and descriptive survey research design. Target Population was 1 DEO, 5 DSQAO‟s, 120 teachers, 4 head teachers, pupils 4323. The study sample was 1 DEO, 5 DSQAs, 4 head teachers, 56 teachers and 28 pupils giving a total of 94 respondents. Ethical consideration was observed. Questionnaires and interview guides were used for data collection. Quantitative data was summarized and reduced into tables of frequencies where frequency counts and percentages were used in the analysis. Qualitative data was summarized, categorized and reported verbatim. The following findings emerged from the study: The function of DSQA is important to the management of schools; the officers are few and this compromises their work. They work under unfavourable conditions in offices, no facilities, secretaries, stationeries, fuel vehicles to move around to inspect schools. The department is underfunded by the government in time. The study recommends the following: The government to increase budgetary allocation to the department in time, employ more personnel, train the ones who are in service, buy more vehicles and fuel them and increase the number of supervisors to make it regular for quality education.
