dc.description The study focused on Perception of Young Couples on Contraceptives Use in Siha District. The use of contraceptive methods is a key constituent of health services and it benefits the health and wellbeing of women, men, children, families, and their communities. The widespread adoption of family planning represents one of the most dramatic changes of the 20th century. This study guided by three specific objectives which are to examine awareness and attitudes on young couples about contraceptives use, to identify the socio-cultural factors which are affects the contraceptive uses among young couples in Siha and to understand the influence of socio-economic variables on contraceptive use among young couples The study used sample size of 100 respondents so as to get relevant and reliable information concerning the study topic, probability and non probability sampling procedures had been utilized to get this sample. Primary and secondary data employed whereby survey and interview methods had been used as methods of data collection. Also questionnaire and structured interview applied as a tool to collect primary data. Data analysed both qualitative and quantitative hence SPSS Version 16 had use The study revealed that there some factors that hinder the use of contraceptive methods like shortage of enough health providers, lack of demanded contraceptive methods by user at specific time, incompatible decision between couple. On other hand study shows positive sides of contraceptive methods such as to reduce population growth at siha and nation as whole also reduce increasing poverty and tough life. Furthermore, the study discovers that contraceptive methods not only used for family planning but also prevention HIV transmission. The study recommends that in order to be well known and applicable to the people government through the ministry of health and social welfare should ensure there are enough budgets concerning health of mother and child especially on side of contraceptive method for family planning. Through concerts, meeting, and different programs concerning contraceptive methods awareness of people increases hence rose of national income. Also the use of contraceptive is responsible of each couple so as to children of their number, space and time for the benefit of mother and child health and to reduce poverty rates.
