dc.description This study focused on the International Sourcing for Public Organizations in Tanzania: A case of College of African Wildlife Management, Mweka. It specifically aimed at first, assessing the attitude of public procurement department officials in Tanzania when sourcing internationally, and secondly, examining the key factors that drive public organizations in Tanzania to source internationally. The third objective was to assess the challenges facing Tanzanians‟ public organizations when sourcing internationally. The study was conducted using cross-sectional research design, structured and standardized interview schedules as well as personal observation. Using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20), descriptive statistics were used to analyze quantitative data, that is, frequencies and percentages in accordance with the objectives of the study. Further, Chi-Square test was performed to establish association among variables. The study was undertaken in Kilimanjaro region, the entire sample size was 48 respondents who were purposefully selected. The attitude of public procurement department officials in Tanzania when sourcing internationally was positive when the respondents seemed to agree with the number of statements implying positive attitude. The key factors that drive public organizations in Tanzania to source internationally were quality of products, price changes and unavailability of products. After all these findings, it was recommended that policy makers should make sure that they make a good follow up to international sourcing procedures in the public institutions and organizations towards facilitating their employees in their day to day activities as well as enabling the government to access quality benefits including health services and improve procurement processes.
