dc.description The study aimed at assessing the contribution of ward school management committees to students‟ academic performance. It is a sort of case study carried out in Dodoma Municipality. A special attention was made to assess an overview, relationship and factors influenced ward school committees to academic performance The study was a descriptive designed and a sample of 100 respondents was used and these were obtained from Dodoma Municipality. The methods used in data collection were interviews, questionnaire and documentary review Also theories pertaining to Academic Performances was used to familiarize the reader with paradigms, frameworks and approaches in the field The study reveals that contribution of ward school management committees to academic performance includes policy making, participate in construction school buildings teaching and learning materials and improve communication between community and staff members which lead to improvement in student‟s performance. The number of challenges includes underprivileged environment, infrastructure and deficiency of teacher‟s leads to poor performance in ward secondary schools. consequently; The study conclude that; , ward secondary school committee, teachers, community members and students should cooperate together in order to ensure student academic performance in ward secondary schools The study recommends that, government should employ enough and quality teachers in ward secondary school. However ward school committees should ensure good cooperation and communication between community members and teachers.
