dc.description Informal training on approaching road traffic injuries has become increasingly important in strengthening health care provision in pre-hospital care. Despite, evidence-based practice on formal training for emergency care, as well as health policy in Tanzania on addressing those issues. Informal training is not anymore implemented in routine practice especially for first responders like commercial motorcyclists to address road traffic injuries. The study involved two hundred fifty-two participants randomly selected from registered parking points and the results of the study showed that the majority of the participants had low knowledge and skills on basic life support. But most of them had attended victim with road traffic accidents and tends of traffic violation also revealed. The study concluded that the intervention was effective and relevant to the commercial motorcyclists.
