dc.descriptionIntroduction. Obesity is growing problem in developing countries contributing to development of chronic diseases including diabetes type 2 , it is a single modifiable risk factor that also affects the course of response to treatment and contributes to mortality in developing countries due to poor glycemic control which also may result from obesity. Objectives. To determine the prevalence and risk factors of obesity among type-2 diabetic patients in Moshi urban area. Methods. A hospital based cross-sectional study was done at KCMC hospital . Patients BMI was measured and structured self-administered questionnaire was used to assess the risk factors of obesity among diabetic-type 2 patients. Data were analysed by SPSS version 20.
