Description
As we enter the new millennium, IT security is an enormously vibrant field. Computers and computer systems are increasingly becoming integral to modern culture and are the primary engines behind much of the world's economic growth. New technologies are introduced continually, and existing ones become obsolete almost as soon as they appear. As the Internet and networked systems become more widespread and advanced, there is a higher risk of accidents, attacks, and failures. Individuals, families, organisations, governments and regions need to get prepared to protect or to secure their IT systems and resources in different capacities. In the Internet age, however, protecting information resources and assets requires not only security aware society, but also a well-prepared cadre of information security professionals.
