dc.descriptionThe main objective of the study was to investigate the factors affecting the usage of EBanking Banking in Tanzania. The study specifically aimed at identifying E-Banking products/services offered at CRDB Bank Plc, exploring the role of E-Banking on improving banking services provisions at CRDB Bank Plc, examined how Knowledge, Perceived usefulness, Technology, Organizational readiness, Reliability Security affect the use of Electronic Banking at CRDB Bank Plc and examining challenges on the implementation of E-Banking at CRDB Bank Plc. The study used both primary and secondary data sources. Methods of data collection included questionnaires and interviews. Secondary data methods included the use of literatures and other documents. Findings from the study revealed that there are various E-Banking products/services offered at CRDB Bank Plc. These included Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT), Debit/Credit Card Purchase Transactions, Mobile Banking and Internet Banking. It was also revealed that Electronic Banking plays a greater role towards improving banking services provisions at CRDB Bank Plc. Furthermore, Electronic Banking has made easily accessible to financial services. Furthermore, the study found that Knowledge, Perceived usefulness, Technology, Organizational readiness, Reliability Security were the most factors that affect the use of Electronic Banking at CRDB Bank Plc. Finally, the study found that there are various challenges on the implementation of Electronic Banking. These include legislative Framework inappropriate, convertibility of electronic, Security codes control challenges and Traditional Market Mechanism. The study recommended that for efficient implementation of E-Banking uses of paper and coin notes should be discouraged, the use of electronic cash, smart cards come in place for effecting various transactions. Also, E-Banking should be featured into the laws governing it, as such will ensure the bankers and customers of their status, rights and obligation over the use of such technologies.
