This study focused on An Analytical Study of Motivation Upon Teachers in Public Secondary Schools in Nyamagana district. The study involved 158 informants namely head of schools, teachers, District educational officer, chairman of CWT, general secretary of TSD. Simple random sampling was used to get the number of teachers and purposive sampling was used to get head of schools, District Educational Officer, chair person of CWT, and general secretary of TSD Questionnaires and interview method were used to get data from the informants. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used to analyse the collected data. This study sought to assess teachers motivation towards job satisfaction in public secondary schools, to examine if teachers are overloaded in teaching load in public secondary schools, to investigate the impacts of teachers motivation upon academic excellences in public secondary school, and to evaluate the suggestions of teachers for improving teachers motivation in public secondary schools The study found that most of teachers lack of motivation in terms of low salaries and poor working condition. Also the researcher found that teachers are overloaded in teaching. Moreover the study found that motivation is important to teachers so as to increase effectiveness and efficiency to their profession. This study recommended that government should ensure that it fulfills its duty such as provision of enough teaching and learning materials, building teachers’ houses as well as providing teaching allowances to teachers, also teachers should ensure they fulfill their duties
