In this paper, we are mainly interested in estimating the stress-strength reliability R = P(Y < X) when X and Y are two independent truncated type-I generalised logistic distributions with different shape parameters but having the same scale parameters. The model arises from type-I generalised logistic distribution truncated at zero, because lifetime data is always non-negative. Assuming that the common scale parameter is known, the maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters are developed and an asymptotic confidence interval for R is obtained. Extensive simulation studies are carried out to investigate the performance of these intervals. Using real data we illustrate the procedure.
