dc.descriptionEntrepreneurship has been the only way to change human life for all long. With the era we have, where jobs are scarce and demand is high it is even more crucial for the youths to change their minds from formal employment obsession to self-employment thinking. Although they are the ones affected by unemployment, youths are either subsumed into general adult population or ignored; this arouse the researcher‘s interest to study on this phenomena. This study was aimed at identifying those factors that impinge youth engagement into entrepreneurship in Tanzania and specific objectives To establish the influence of unemployment towards youth engagement into entrepreneurship, To examine the influence of government support towards youth to engage in entrepreneurship activities, To investigate the existence of untapped opportunities and its relation with youth engagement in entrepreneurship, To determine how entrepreneurship training influence youth engagement in entrepreneurship at Moshi district. A target population of 250 units was used and total sample size of 150 was picked as representative, in addition two Administrative officers working with institutions were also interviewed. A casual and descriptive survey design was used. Probability and non- probability sampling techniques were used to create a sampling frame. Stratified sampling was one of the probability techniques used in order to ensure that various types of youth run enterprises were included in the survey. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires, interview guide and observation method. The collected data was analysed using Statistical package for Social Scientist software. The results of the study were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics and the results were presented using tables. The study found that youth entrepreneurs have clear perception of entrepreneurship, have entrepreneurial qualities and realized the factors to be considered in enabling youth entrepreneurship. Also, study found out that entrepreneurship training on success on youth business start-ups revealed the existence of a positive relationship between entrepreneurship training and success of youth entrepreneurship.
