This study intended to determine the factors affecting supply chain performance in manufacturing companies in Tanzania, a case of Bakhresa group of companies – Zanzibar branch. The study had specifically indented to examine the effect of management support system on supply chain performance, assess the effect of process control system on supply chain performance, investigate the effect of transaction processing system on supply chain performance and determine the effect of enterprise collaboration system on supply chain performance. The study was conducted in Zanzibar at Backhresa Group of Companies and 120 staff as a sample size was picked from target population157. The study used technology acceptance theory, institution theory and Transaction cost theory to guide the study. The study adopted descriptive research design. Data was collected using questionnaire. Hypothesis was tested through exploratory factor analysis (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin-measuring sampling adequacy and Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity), simple linear regression and correlation analysis .Analyzed data was presented using table for interpretations. The findings found that management support system, process control system, transaction processing system and enterprise collaboration system were directly related with supply chain performance with a significant value P<0.05. Also the findings revealed that management support system, process control system, transaction processing system and enterprise collaboration system had positive had significant effect on supply chain performance with a significant value P<0.05.The study concluded that management support system, process control, transaction processing system and enterprise collaboration system contributes positively to the supply chain performance on manufacturing companies in Tanzania. This study has implication to various stakeholders and policy makers alongside supply chain Tanzanian manufacturing industries and community in general.
