dc.descriptionUnderstanding the needs of teachers in the work place will enable leaders to fulfill these needs and allow them to work with their effort and reaching to the expected goals. This study addresses the effectiveness of Tanzanian public secondary school teachers’ morale upon student academic performance in Dodoma Municipality. Its objective were to determine factors that influence teachers’ morale in secondary school in Dodoma Municipality, to analyze the relationship between teachers’ morale and student academic performance in secondary school in Dodoma Municipality, to examine how social relationships build teachers’ morale in secondary school in Dodoma Municipality and to identify how the working environment support teachers’ morale in secondary school in Dodoma Municipality. The study was guided by the Content Theories, Maslow’s hierarchy of need theory and Herzberg’s two-factor theory. Data for this study collected by using the purposive sampling technique with the help of semi-structure interview from the heads of school, parents and surrounding community while in such schools students and teachers participated in through focus group discussion. The findings are organized, analyzed and presented in accordance with the specific research objectives and questions. The study was conducted in three (3) secondary schools in Dodoma Municipality. The researcher found out that the morale of teacher is an important factor to ensure that teacher gives best product at all times. The study determined that the relationships between teachers’ morale and student academic performance contributed better chance of student success. Also positive social relationships and healthy environment build teachers’ morale in secondary school and negative contributed negative result.
