ABSTRACT This study is an attempt to show the E-procurement benefit of adoption, success, Drivers, Barriers, in local government authorities. In order to come out with a clear conclusion the study had to look the benefits of adopting E-procurement in local government, success on E procurement, benefits on E-procurement and barriers of E-procurement, types of tool requires for the adoption of electronic procurement among other factors that are important for the adoption of E-procurement in local Authorities. In this study both primary and secondary data were collected. These data were collected from the one hundred respondents including Mwanza City Council Staff and their suppliers, contractors and service providers through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The analysis was done through quantitative techniques in which explanations were drawn, and the summary of results was drawn. The researcher analyzed the data by using SPSS Software in which ANOVA and Chi – square were applied in the process of analyzing the data. The findings are presented by the use of Tables and statistical methods. The result of the study shows that the rate of drivers, success, benefits, barriers and adoption election procurement in Mwanza City council is significantly negligible despite the fact that they have computers and other ICT facilities. The contributing factors being lack provisions in the currents and regulation to facilitate E-procurement as well as lack of training to staff on the application of Electronic procurement. According to the results of this study, to increase more facilitate will achieve E-procurement the success, Benefit of adoption of electronic procurement, and include provisions which Mwanza City Council needs to provide training to staff on the application electronic procurement and acquire more ICT facilitates to achieve E-Procurement
