The data for this study were collected by using questionnaires and interviews. The findings were analyzed, presented and discussed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The main findings include (i) where as there is low community participation in maternal mortality control programs in Bugogwa ward but the community of Bugogwa ward do not know even the meaning of community participation and the importance of their participation; (ii) Most of the strategies used to control maternal mortality control programs are not planned in presence of the representatives of the community of Bugogwa ward so when it comes to implementations the strategies fails because the community feel like they were abandoned. The conclusion made is that there is low community participation in maternal mortality control programs because of many factors.
