dc.descriptionNormally academic performance of students in whichever academic institution depends on various issues including, the level of teachers education, conduncive environments, good leadership and presence of facilities and resources. This study was about the relationship between teacher‟s educational qualification and student‟s academic performance in Tanzania secondary schools. Objectives of this study were, to find out the extent to which good education qualification of teachers result to good student‟s academic performance in secondary school through availability of conducive environment of learning, to find out the reasons that triggers low education qualification of teachers may result to low student‟s academic performance in secondary school through availability of conducive environment of learning, to determine how unconducive environment of learning at secondary school level may lead to education qualification of teachers in facilitating learning and teaching to students, to assess how educational officers, teachers and students perceive teacher‟s education qualification and their contribution about positive or negative results of students in secondary level. This study employed mixed research approach based with the crossectional research design. The data collection methods involved in this study were questionnaires, interviews and documentary analysis. The findings in this study show that all respondents are aware about teachers educational qualifiacation also through the government in making upgrading teachers education and some seminars to develop teachers learning and teaching skills, knowledge and attitudes. This study also involves recommendation to other researchers, students, teachers and educational planners and policy makers.
